The hook laden simplicity of the song propelled it to #6 on the charts in '73 and it was given a boost for younger generations in the '90s when Quentin Tarantino used it in the soundtrack of his debut film, Reservoir Dogs, for the scene in which one of the color coded crooks cuts off the ears of a bound police officer. Seemingly this tune is forever destined to be one of those songs that every one has heard although hardly anyone you know has heard the album. The nucleus of Stealers Wheel were Joe Egan (on git and, I believe, vocals on Stuck) and Gerry Rafferty (on keyboards).
